Das Getuschel um sie herum wurde lauter, doch Johann achtete noch immer nicht auf sie. Fuer ihn gab es nur Friedrich Schiller und seine zerzausten Haare, den funkelnden Blick, den er zugeworfen bekam. Überraschenderweise war kein Aerger darin, - nicht wirklich - nur eine gewisse Art von Vergnuegen und Neugier.

"Also gut." Schiller trat vor, hob Charlottes Stab auf und wog ihn abschaetzend in der Hand, bevor er ihn Johann entgegenhielt. "Zeigen Sie es mir."

I was determined with this podfic on so many levels, so I braved the HTML weirdness and downloaded it. THEN I don't speak a word of German so I listened twice. The first time, I just listened for the flow of the language and the feel I got from your reading, like I do when I listen to opera. It was strikingly lovely. Then I listened again and read the translation along with your voice in the background and it was amazing how accurate my reading of the first listening was. Not... the story... but all the emotion behind it was spot on. Really beautiful job :)

That is some dedication to the art of podfic there. Wow. (I still need to investigate the html weirdness issue - I posted that the day before going on vacation for a week.) I never ever expected to be compared to opera! Thanks!
This one was really really hard to do, since it's been a very long time since I've used my German. 😖 Glad you enjoyed reading along with my translation!
