This was wonderful! Beautifully read, as always (your style and pacing always work really well for me), and I thought those fics went together perfectly. And your use of music was absolutely flawless. Perfect choices, good sounds levels, and fabulous transitions and interactions with the reading. I struggle so much with music in my own podfics, so I was doubly impressed with how well it was integrated here. Just wonderful. ♥

Also, trouble with music how? Choice was easy for this one, since I just have the Baccano score sitting around, and certain pieces are more strongly associated with some characters. From a technical standpoint, I just make sure I have enough bars I can fade it in then fade it out so I can layer talking over it.

Music is always a trial for me. I love it in podfics, so I think I stick it in (probably) about... 70% of my podfics. But I always struggle to find the right music, and then I stress about sound levels and the length of the fade and.. and.. and.. and..

It's not that I don't technically know how to put it in, and adjust the levels and such. But for some reason, dealing with it is really stressful for me, and I'm never really satisfied with how it comes out in the end.

((And I'm so glad the comments are spreading some joy! It's been a really rewarding personal goal to listen to and comment to every podfic posted to podfic_bingo this year (except my own, of course :D). I've been introduced to new fandoms and new readers and new types of stories (I've always liked gen fic just fine, but now I seek it out, because I've been exposed to it a bit more and realized that I actually LOVE it), and heard a lot of people trying things I hadn't thought to try before. And it was an interesting challenge to learn how to listen to performance and technical aspects of the podfic when the story was maybe not so much up my alley, or where I don't speak the language :P. I am exceedingly happy that I'm not easily triggered and I don't have that many squicks. It's really been a delightful experience ♥))

Out of curiosity what is your fave new fandom this year's bingo got you into?

The big one was Check Please, which I totally knew about, but for some reason hadn't dived into. And after so many podfics were posted, I finally succumbed and read the whole thing. I also discovered Miraculous Ladybug as a fandom, which was awesome :D

I'm barely starting to dabble in Critical Role (also a result of Podfic_Bingo podfics), but there is just so much canon that every time I try, I get overwhelmed.
