Prizes? Prizes.

As is customary in bingo games, when a person gets a bingo, they get a prize. In the past, people have received prize banners, but there was some discussion that, since most of fandom has moved from journaling spaces, maybe banners are outdated? Then again, with the option of banners on Twitter and Tumblr, maybe they aren't?

Another person suggested podfic as a prize, but the mods think that, with the number of people participating, podfic as a prize, should be saved for something a little bigger, like getting a blackout on your bingo card?

In any case, we're stumped. If you have a suggestion as what you think we should use as bingo prizes, please let us know in the comments. :)

Cover art for one of your podfics?

I feel like it's so easy to collab with podficcers, it's hard to come up with fun sounding prizes. For the record, just doing the bingo is enough for me (in any fandom context).

A cover art 'coupon' might be a good idea, if we can find some willing artists.

No idea how it'd work, but throwing it out in the interest of brainstorming: One thing most podficcers seem to agree is in short supply is the validation that you get from a really meaningful or thoughtful piece of feedback. So maybe something playing off of that? If volunteers could be found willing to listen and comment (or otherwise shine a spotlight) on one of the "winning" podfics that made up the bingo, that seems like it'd be a nice warm fuzzy?

Podficcers definitely agree that meaningful feedback is a rare gift. However, there's the possibility that the recipient might think the comment was "forced" since giver would be required to feedback.

In the meantime, we will try to find a way to make this work for all parties involved. Thank you for your suggestion!

I agree with the cover art idea. I never have time (or really patience) to make covers for all my podfics.

also: if you do decide to offer podfics as prizes I'd be willing to offer my services.

Oooooh, thanks, Litra! And, we'll keep you in mind if we chose podfics for a blackout prize.
