2016 Resource Post
Feb. 13th, 2016 06:18 amHave questions about the Prompts? You might be thinking, "Do you consider a selkie a human?" or "Does Gamora count as a 'character of color'?" We purposefully don't have a list of definitions to go with our prompts so that the prompts can remain open to interpretation. People can be so creative in how they interpret things and we want to encourage that.
However, if you find yourself looking at a square and have no idea what it means/what to do with it, leave a comment and we can let you know the original intent behind that prompt.
You can also check out the resource post from previous years:

Reminder: Once you get your card, you can start posting podfics right away. :D

Date: 2016-04-17 03:43 pm (UTC)1) "Write and record your own story" - do I have to write the fic now and record it afterwards, or is it okay to use a fic I wrote at some point before this?
2) "Incorporate physical sound" - I've read the replies about this from previous years, but - in the podfic I'm working on right now, Stiles talks with a toothbrush in his mouth, so I did those lines with a finger in my mouth (LOL), does this count as a "physical sound"? :D
And... yeah, I think the other prompts all make sense. :D

Date: 2016-04-17 04:11 pm (UTC)(2) Finger-in-mouth lines totally counts. It's essentially to use a sound effect you physically made yourself (i.e. not a post-production sound effect). That could be knocking on the table or snapping or changing your body in some way that significantly alters the sound of your voice (like sticking your finger in your mouth :D).
